A couple months ago, in September, I got the chance to join all the other creatives linked to KASKO house for music theater at Ronald Westerhuis’ atelier in Zwolle. Set and costume designers, writers, actors, directors, musicians and 3 (!) composers, all got together and worked on small performances for a whole week at this insane place full of giant steel sculptures. I got to play violin at a couple of pieces, and also worked with Juliette Mout on a crazy performance involving hitting some of the unfinished artworks that were stored above Ronald’s work space. The stuffy, almost tomblike place made us go into a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi rabbithole.
